5 ChatGPT Formulas That Would Transform it into a Midjourney Prompts Mastermind!

In this article, we will explore how to harness the capabilities of ChatGPT to craft prompts tailored for Midjourney. We’ll delve into the process of training the chat to generate prompts that autonomously select key elements. Demonstrating five specific formulas, our goal is to equip you with the skills to compose your own formulas for personal or business applications.

The widely embraced artificial intelligence tool, ChatGPT, not only provides answers on various topics but also offers novel ideas that might escape our own consideration. This positions the chat as an additional “brain,” serving as a valuable resource for brainstorming diverse ideas.

Formula Number 1: A general prompt formula

The initial formula is applicable for generating generic images to complement blog posts across diverse fields, such as sports, diet, architecture, photography, animals, medicine, interior design, and beyond.

Prior to inputting the formula into the chat, it is crucial to articulate our creative intent and provide the chat with an understanding of what we aim to produce. This involves explaining the concept of Midgerani either through textual elucidation or by furnishing an example prompt, or ideally, employing both approaches. Let’s initiate the inquiry as follows:

Here is a formula for Midjourney prompts:

A photograph of [subject] [doing something] in [setting] during [time of day], taken with [type of camera] with [type of lens]

Following confirmation that the chat comprehends our instructions, we will then request it to generate multiple prompts based on the specified formula:

This way, the chat will suggest fitness-related ideas, and we can also ask for general picture ideas in different areas.

The chat will add its own details in the square brackets, giving us a bunch of diverse and unique prompts.

Once we find an interesting prompt, we’ll use it in Midgerani to get an image.

Here’s an example of a fitness-related prompt I got from the chat:

Formula Number 2: Formula for images with an empty space for text (suitable for stories/greeting cards/letters, etc.)

To ensure a consistent aspect ratio for all prompts without repeatedly rewriting the parameter, we can instruct the chat to uniformly append it to the end of each prompt:

Formula Number 3: formula for creating a clothing line

Now, let’s explore an alternative way to instruct the chat in crafting prompts. This time, we’ll guide the chat as if it were a fashion designer, specifying the type of collection we’d like it to create:

You are a fashion designer who was asked to create a collection of dresses for the spring. You are trying to find ideas using Midjourney.

Here is the formula you use:

A spring inspired dress made out of [type of fabric], the dress is [mini/maxi] long, [with/without] short sleeves, and the color scheme is [3-5 colors].

Do you understand the formula?

In this particular formula, we ask the chat to create a spring collection of dresses while leaving the choice of fabric up to its selection. Furthermore, we provide options for the chat to decide between a mini dress and a maxi, choose between short sleeves or sleeveless, and specify a color scheme comprising 3 to 5 colors.

Once the chat comprehends the formula, we will then prompt it to generate ideas accordingly:

Formula Number 4: formula for creating amusing images

This next formula will generate delightful illustrations featuring well-known cartoon characters engaged in specific activities. These images can serve as posters for kids’ rooms, entertaining content for social media, and more. It’s crucial to be mindful of copyright issues and refrain from using the creations for commercial purposes to avoid potential legal consequences. Notably, characters like Superman, Power Rangers, Snoopy, etc., are protected by copyright, and displaying them commercially is not advisable. Despite creating new content in Midjourney inspired by these characters, copyright restrictions still apply, posing a risk of legal action.

Here is a formula of a prompt to use in Midjourney:

[subject of image] in the style of [name of a cartoon], [5 adjectives], [verb that subject is performing]

write 5 prompts featuring famous singers as the subject

This formula will create interesting and entertaining results for us. We ask the chat to choose a singer and present it in the style of a cartoon character of its choice. In addition, we ask it to choose 5 adjectives and a verb that the character performs. Here is one of the results that the chat produced for me:

I won’t showcase the generated images here as they include characters protected by copyright. However, feel free to take the prompt and experiment with it in Midjourney on your own.

Formula Number 5: formula for creating T-Shirt design

This formula will generate prompts suitable for crafting captivating designs for shirts. It’s advisable not to incorporate the names of artists or renowned figures in the designs, especially if the intention is to commercially sell the created designs or the shirts themselves.

Here is a formula of a Midjourney prompt:

[image we are prompting], [style of the artwork], [mood of the artwork], [lighting style of the artwork]

each prompt must end with “t-shirt design graphic, vector, contour, white background”.

In this particular formula, we instruct the chat to determine the content of a photograph, select the artistic style for its creation, define the overall ambiance, and specify the lighting. It’s a broad formula that grants the chat considerable freedom in choosing various elements.

In the subsequent line, we direct the chat to conclude each prompt with specific words, such as “vector,” “contour,” and “white background,” to ensure that Midgerany generates images suitable for shirt design. This approach streamlines the process, eliminating the need to manually add these concepts to each prompt.
